On Sunday, February 17, the video for Temptress will premiere at the Alamo Drafthouse, in “Dangerous Women: A Night Of Noir”.

“Dangerous Women” will feature the Noir films of Timothy Harvey, including the “Last Call” Trilogy, and “Butterfly Dreams”, written by Michael Loftus, along with Todd Norris’ “Candy Apple Red” and Patrick Rea’s “Time’s Up, Eve”. and will build to the screening of IAMEVE’s first video, “Throw Me A Line”, and the Premiere of the new video, “Temptress”, directed and edited by Timothy Harvey, and shot by Todd Norris.

“Temptress” stars Eve Ami, Bryce Young, Jason Miller and Jason Nivens and is set in the sensual world of Film Noir, a world of nightclub chanteuses, detectives, murder and love.

In September 2012, we traveled to Kansas City, MO to film a music video for “Temptress” with director Timothy Harvey. During the night club scene, I was very excited to see three live musicians on stage with me and while we had some downtime we decided to mess around impromptu. Happy that Mr. Harvey and our magical Director of Photography Todd Norris caught us in the act having some fun :)

From the West to the East and everywhere in between, lots of love is being sent to all of you braving the storm. I can feel NYC dancing and celebrating despite everything.

All week I have felt it rippling across the continent, so I felt compelled to put together a mesh pot of Stormy Quotes, Music, and even a childhood movie favorite ;)

Sending you all much love and pixie dust! To be clear - I am deeply thinking of, loving, and praying for everyone on the east coast. All of my family is there and we are all dealing with the impact of the hurricane, as are the majority of my dearest friends. I am deeply present to personal trauma and this is intended to bring some amount of light and love for everyone, for whatever that is worth.

I was watching a video on Super String Theory last week, when I heard the news that a new Planet with Four Suns was discovered 5000 light years away (link below). It dawned on me how fascinating the universe is, and how interesting it is, that as human beings grow past childhood we obsess over being able to prove ourselves. From science to religion to our individual sensory perception, we endlessly wrestle to prove that our view is the right one because it is what WE know and experience: be it with our eyes, our ears, our minds, or our souls.

It seems to me that time and time again, we continue to discover things that once were invisible and impossible.. I think magic is to surrender to the unknown and to be open to surprise; to look at the universe and know that at that very moment, you and everything in it is changing; to lock eyes with the one you love, thinking “how familiar”, while we are constantly adapting and regenerating into new beings…. When we shift our perspective, we realize that everything is always changing, is always new, and always full of mystery and magic. What would life be like if we tried to live every day with the pure sight of a child: present to magic, expecting surprises, full of limitless abundance and possibilities?
